Al Taif, The Arab Tourism Capital:
Al Taif city is located on the west of Saudi Arabia. It is a very distinguished city for many reasons. First of all, it is very close to Mecca. Secondly, it is the center point of some important roads that facilitate reaching it. One of these roads is Mecca-Alsail road which is connecting Mecca and al Taif. Another road that connects both Mecca and Al Taif is Al Hada road. Another important road that connects Al Taif to Al Baha is King Abdel Aziz road. Mentioning the fourth important road, it is Jeddah road that connects directly Al Taif to Riyadh, the Saudi capital.
Moving to the third vital reason that makes al Taif a very unique Saudi city is its amazing weather. As known, the western region’s climate is measured highly temperature and humidity most of the year. Thus, Al Taif is a resort for most of the western region’s residences. The reason behind its adorable weather is it is located on al Sarawat Mountain which is 1700- 2500 meter above sea level. It is worth mentioning that it was announced the Arab tourism capital for year 2014. Moreover, Al Taif’s buildings are constructed on the surface of the mountain forming a pyramidal shape. The fourth reason is its soil fertility and water abundance that help in flourishing its agriculture.
